Favorite Images from 2023: #3 Cascade of Water and Light

As I've done for several years I like to look back on the previous year's work and share my 12 "best" images - although the word best is subjective. So, let's say that these are my 12 favorite images of 2023. I'll be sharing them one at a time.

 

Cascade of Water and Light

Glacier National Park is a treasure - a spectacular, beautiful, garden of planet Earth. On this day, standing at the bottom of the falls, we could feel the spray on our faces and the breeze that had seemingly followed the water down the mountain and over the cliff. The afternoon Sun was behind the waterfall, and so not only was fresh mountain water cascading down, but Sunlight as well through trees and over rocks, and the rays illuminated the suspended mist.

Water cascades down a cliff into a pond in Glacier National Park, with the falling water creating a slight wind and lots of misty spray, and sunbeams coming from behind the waterfall down into the basin.
